Tuesday Photo Challenge – Fire

I actually thought these pictures were better than this but it is what it is I guess.

I took this at Christmas as my Daughter brought me this fine bottle of Port as a gift, if you have not tasted it it comes recommended. I guess I am going to have to keep my eyes open on further challenges and pull my finger out!!

  2. It just dawned on me after re-reading your post that, for the “fire” theme, I could have poured a dram of Laphroaig 10-year-old scotch and composed an image in front of the fireplace.

In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

And by rich, they mean it taste like the liquid fire and smoke. Truly and aquired taste.
