On route to Loch Ness we were diverted as there had been a landslide near Fort William and we had to change our route to Inverness to go via Perth. This diversion added about 2 hours to our already long drive, but saying that we ended up in this small village called Crianlarich. We stopped at the Crianlarich Hotel to get our bearings, rearrange our route and take some pictures.

Crianlarich War Memorial. We rearranged the wreaths as they were being washed down the road.

Logged in at Crianlarich Hotel

The roads were flooded and the conditions were treacherous with debris and of course the water, this got worse as the day got darker as the weather worsened and lights on a Mini are not renowned for their brightness.

During this unexpected but welcome break in our travelling plans we went into the Hotel and had a snack to eat, scones, latte and other necessities  and a walk around, then carried on our way to Inverness via Perth.
