Portchester is a locality and suburb 4 miles (6 km) northwest of Portsmouth, England. It is part of the borough of Fareham in Hampshire. Once a small village, Portchester is now a busy part of the expanding conurbation between Portsmouth and Southampton, on the A27 main thoroughfare. Its population according to the 2001 Census was approximately 17,000 residents.

We only live about 20 minutes away and we go now and then just to get away. The Castle regularly holds weddings and other events other that that it is just a very nice place to go to and walk around at any time of the year.

There are many pubs on the rough but short road that lead up to the castle pub grub and a pint being the order of the day, ice cream for the kids and just a good old English fun day!
